AS Saint-Étienne — GW 21 · 9–12 Oct

After this lengthy international break which saw no fewer than 13 players depart to defend their flag, everyone seems to have returned without injury. Some played a lot like Cardona and Old who were starters in each of their national team matches. Old scored against Japan but he also traveled extensively. It will be very difficult to find the lineup that Cathro will field. The Cardinal did not play last Friday in a friendly. He is not recovered from his injury. Lamba should replace him alongside Nahir. In midfield Bernauer should play with the armband alongside Csongvai relegating Svetlin to the bench. Pédro, Old, Cardona and Davitashvili could be rested and start on the bench. Jaber, Eymard and Traoré are out
